Join us as we lead our kids on a journey to better understand the Gospel and the core doctrines of the Christian faith. We’ll be following an at-home guide of 52 questions and answers that will help promote spiritual depth for the whole family.
1) The Catechism Guide
Uhh, what’s a Catechism? That’s just an old-school word for a system of question & answers designed to impart Christian beliefs. We’ll be using the New City Catechism. This is a fantastic resource that combines age-old, tried-and-tested methods with modern language. At its most basic form, the catechism will simply guide us in the weekly question & answer. Beyond that, it’s full of corresponding scriptures, example prayers, and commentaries.
The best part is that there is a simple & free app to follow!
If you’ve got younger kids in elementary, we’ll hook them up with their own mini catechism book to follow along in.
2) 15-30 Minutes A Week
We all have busy schedules, right? But we all know the importance of investing time in the things that matter the most with those that matter the most. Let’s make investing in the faith of our kids a scheduling priority!
For this to work best, you’ll want to set aside 15-30 minutes a week. Preferably at the same time and day each week, but flex however you need to with your family’s happenings. The key is staying consistent and committing to a weekly time.
Who is this for?
This is designed for families of younger and older children alike. There are 2 formats of questions and answers: 1 set for your elementary-aged children, and another set for your older middle school and high school-aged children. It’s the same content, just expanded upon for an older audience.
We think your older student will enjoy engaging with the full content on the app while your younger kids will love their very own book that we’ll provide.
We hope to partner with you this next year in leading your children closer to Jesus and deeper in their faith.
